Cappy
Sato, 7 Years, Neutered Male
Cappy is a Sato that has been in a forever family until his owner had to go into a nursing home. Now he's back at the shelter. I've visited him at the shelter and brought him a nice bed to sleep in. He is very friendly pooch, who is looking for a new home.

Natalia
Terrier Mix, 1.5 Years,
Spayed Female
I was formerly a stray in Puerto Rico, where dogs are not as fortunate as they are here. Now that I have a warm bed and a full belly, I'm ready for the next great thing: A loving home!

Your new best friend could be waiting for you at your neighborhood shelter
Not only were all of the dogs at the top of our website adopted into loving families, but they are also Satos who came all the way from Puerto Rico to find their loving families. Sato is slang for street dog of mixed decent.
The Satos above are Hoover, Samba Ben, Peanut, Hoover (as a baby), and Lucky. Samba and Ben are members of my family. All of these dogs have suffered in their past lives. Samba is handicapped, lived on the streets of Puerto Rico for 5 years, supporting litter after litter of puppies. How she did it I will never know. Ben was rescued near the factories in Puerto Rico were the wild dogs are not fed and there is very little food. The dogs fight to survive. Ben is 26 pounds and had to compete with mostly large dogs. When little Peanut was rescued they removed over 100 beebees from him. You would never know it now, he's loving and trusting.
Each of these wonderful dogs have brought friendship and love to the families that have adopted them.
To learn more about the Save a Sato, an organization that rescues Satos from the streets of Puerto Rico, and reabilitates them please visit www.saveasato.org. One of my dogs was adopted from Buddy Dog Humane Society in Sudbury, MA. They are wonderful people, who work hard to provide a good environment for the animals in their care. They are honest about the animals available for adoption and work equally hard to make good "adoptive" matches. Visit their website at www.buddydoghs.org.
Hoover has his own website www.houseofhoover.com, where he and his Mom create wonderful gift baskets for pets and their people. A portion of the proceeds are donated to Sterling Animal Shelter, visit there website at http://www.sterlingshelter.org.
Thank you for visiting our page,
Doreen, Ben, and Samba
